Aircraft Licensing

Dive into our definitive guide with Air Emu to secure your city's aircraft license. From licensing to hands-on training, navigate the standards and earn your wings. The sky awaits.

Step 1: Financial Assessment

Ensure you have sufficient funds to not only purchase an aircraft but also to support its ongoing operations. Remember that owning an aircraft involves recurring costs such as storage, maintenance, insurance, and fuel.

Step 2: Government Background Check
  • Before proceeding with the licensing process, a thorough background check will be conducted by the government.

  • The purpose is to ensure you have a high-standing reputation in the city and are not involved in any activities that might lead to inappropriate behavior or toxic role-playing scenarios.

  • Individuals with significant violations, criminal records, or a history of disruptive behavior may be deemed ineligible for an aircraft license.

Step 3: Theory Testing & Practical Testing
  • Pay a testing fee of $50,000 to Air Emu.

  • The theoretical test, administered by Air Emu, will cover various topics, especially those within the current aviation act. Make sure to study flight safety guidelines, regulations, and other pertinent laws.

  • Your flying skills will be tested under the supervision of Air Emu's seasoned instructors.

  • This test involves standard flying maneuvers, emergency procedures, and both takeoffs and landings.

Step 4: Purchasing Your Aircraft
  • After passing your tests, you can approach Air Emu for your aircraft purchase.

  • They offer a selection of aircraft, from brand new models to high-quality second-hand options. For beginners, it's recommended to start with a smaller and more manageable aircraft.

  • See the Purchasing & Selling Aircraft page for more details.

Step 5: Jet Aircraft Certification
  • For those interested in flying jet aircraft, you must first demonstrate your proficiency in a propeller-driven aircraft.

  • Spend a minimum of 2 weeks actively flying and training in a propeller craft.

  • Once you have met the criteria and gained adequate experience, you can enroll in the jet training program with Air Emu.

  • After completing your jet training, you will be evaluated in a jet competency test. A successful test means you're ready to operate jet aircraft.
